Now that you've learned about NFT basics, it's time to learn about minting NFTs on Enshrine. We've compiled a list of Enshrine-specific NFT questions that we get most often.
When will Enshrine be ready to use?
We plan on launching our platform in late Spring 2022. To stay up-to-date on our progress, follow us on Twitter. If you're interested in becoming a creator when we launch, please get in touch with us!
Why sell your content as an NFT?
Whether you know it or not, you are creating digital content that has value every day. The Enshrine platform allows creators to monetize their content by selling NFTs. Fans can directly support your content creation by purchasing a collectible piece of internet history.
How do I monetize my content on Enshrine?
Simple! All you need to do is create an account with us*, upload content your fans will like, and create a single or multi-edition NFT. Your supporters will then be able to purchase your NFTs using any major credit card once they create an account with us.
* Our platform is invite-only for creators at this time
Why use Enshrine to sell your content as NFTs?
Our mission is to empower creators to more authentically interact with their communities and provide a unique way for fans to directly support their favorite creators.
The Enshrine platform offers social media integrations so you can easily upload content, USD transactions so your fans can easily purchase your NFTs, and one-click minting that makes creating an NFT simple!
How are Enshrine NFTs stored?
We use the Polygon (MATIC) and IPFS to ensure that any NFT you sell will be around forever (or at least as long as we still have computers). Learn more about how we use Polygon and IPFS.
What is stopping someone from taking my content and creating their own NFTs?
As you probably already know, anyone can take your content on traditional social media platforms. Since anyone can take a screenshot of your Tweet or download your clips from Twitch, they can easily infringe on your copyrighted work.
On our platform, we vet every single NFT we mint to ensure that the content’s owner is the only one that can sell it. We do this in two different ways. First, we verify the identity of every creator before they’re allowed to sell on our platform. Second, any media uploaded via our social media integrations can only be done by someone with access to your social media account.
Can I modify or delete an NFT after it has been minted?
Once your NFT sells, it cannot be deleted. Anything that is put onto the blockchain is permanent and unchangeable.
Can I upload content that hasn't been posted on social media?
Of course, we encourage original content on our platform! Give your supporters the ability to own a piece of something that they can’t find anywhere else.
How does Enshrine make money?
For every NFT sold, we collect a fee that covers the cost of credit card fees, blockchain-related costs, and our platform cost. We’re transparent about these costs and display them to you before you put your NFT up for sale.
Do I have access to my Enshrine private keys?
In order to ensure an intuitive user experience and keep our user’s NFT assets secure, we do not currently support exporting private keys to our users. We do plan to add support for transferring NFTs to external wallets shortly after our beta launch. By allowing external transfers, we give users the flexibility of holding their NFTs in their Enshrine-managed wallet or in a personal wallet.
