As we prepare for the launch of our platform later this Spring, we had to think about how we would moderate content on our platform. Opening creation abilities on Enshrine is a complicated question with a lot of ramifications -- so let's dive in!

Can I create NFTs on Enshrine?

When our platform launches, we will only be giving creation permissions to a select set of content creators. If you're interested in becoming a creator, please fill out this form.

Why can't everyone create NFTs on Enshrine?

We plan on opening up the ability to create to everyone within a few months of our platform launch. We want to empower anyone to create high-quality NFTs on our platform. However, we've decided to limit the ability to create on our platform for the following reasons:

1. Having more listings means more content to moderate. We have a legal obligation to ensure that all content on our platform is being sold by its owner or with the express permission of the owner. We've seen platforms like Cent shut down due to plagiarized content. We've learned from the mistakes of other platforms and want to ensure that we promise that all NFTs on our platform are being created by the owners of that content.
2. We need to ensure that we're providing the best experience for our creators. Providing the ability to sell and buy NFTs in USD is a difficult thing to do and requires us to have a lot of internal processes to support and pay creators for the NFTs that they sell. We're testing our platform and processes with a limited set of users so that we can iron out any issues before we let everyone create.
3. We don't want to create just another NFT marketplace. NFT marketplaces are a dime a dozen. The vast majority of marketplaces do not address any specific issues and provide no additional value than the large marketplaces do. We want to solve specific value for creators and provide a platform that adds value. In order to stay focused on our creators, we are limiting the number of creators to ensure that their needs are being addressed first.

When will I be able to create NFTs on Enshrine?
